This getting dark at 5pm crap is kicking my ass. It’s not even 9pm and I’m in bed #oldafEver stumble upon a photo and just look at it...with no words? . I’m pretty sure the photo on the left might be me at my heaviest. (Note the 2 liter bottle of Pepsi sitting next to me) - I have no idea what that weight was because when you hit a point where it’s too painful to step on the scale and you live in denial. . I didn’t think about the convenience foods I was eating. I wasn’t active. I hated my body but I was caught in vicious cycle by making myself feel better with food. (ice-cream was a hug for my soul) . It’s taken me 10 years to feel like I have my emotional eating under control...and there are still days that I struggle with it! . I know I will battle my emotional eating for the rest of my life, but I am proud that I have a reached a point where I have found balance (for the most part). . My life isn’t about restriction. I’m a foodie. I just can’t NOT have certain things. Life for me is about owning my shit. Understanding WHY I do the things I do and finding new ways to get through the emotions (in a non self-destructive way.) . I have failed my way forward and continue to do so. Because I’ve come way too far to ever go back.It’s been awhile but the shop has been cleaned up and a new design has been added! . A lot of people are afraid of failure, but failure is an important part of growth. . Every time we fail, we have a choice to make. Learn from the failure, reassess the plan and have another crack at it....or give up and have a pity party for ourselves. . Which will you choose? . Today I got a major victory for my sons mental health and in my ongoing battle with the school system. . If you have a child who doesn’t fit into the “traditional” school setting, YOU MUST be their advocate!Focusing on eating more whole foods and less carbs. Trying to reset my carb/sugar addiction (yet again). . This is something I’ve struggled with my entire life. I ebb and flow with success but I will never give up on getting it under control.Its all about mindset. From the moment you wake up, to the moment you climb into bed to sleep. .
